Allowable Payload Weight Limitation in Canada

CANADA CARGO WEIGHT LIMIT GUIDELINE

The cargo weight limit guidelines listed below are maximum cargo weight calculated by applicable government gross vehicle weight limit, railroad tariff rules, tare weight of Yang Ming owned containers and general chassis and tractors. If payload limit printed on the container is lower than the weight limit guideline, the lower limit will apply.

Weight limit is subject to change per government laws, regulations and railroad tariff rules.

All cargo must be evenly stuffed inside the container and must follow block and bracing guidelines issued by Yang Ming and respective railroads. Shipper will be held responsible for any penalties and fees of mis-declaration of cargo weight and failure to comply with block and bracing guidelines.
