2020/10/05

Dear Customers,

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming) would like to keep you informed of an incident that took place on September 28 involving the M/V YM MANDATE at the Port of New York.  The vessel’s schedule is delayed due to a small oil leak and remains berthed at Global Container Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey.  In compliance with governing regulations and federal and state authorities, Yang Ming has implemented response measures to address the spill.  As a result, we are advising you of the potential for delayed delivery of your cargo.

Currently, Yang Ming is working on a plan to deliver cargo destined for Savannah, Norfolk, and Jacksonville.  We will keep all customers with cargo affected updated as we get more information.  There is no incident of cargo damage or loss.  A list of affected bills of lading and container numbers have been forwarded to our sales representative.  They will be getting in contact with you and will be providing you with information on the status of the cargo, any estimated delays, and how we plan to proceed.  Yang Ming in the meantime continues to work with authorities to move forward with our vessel schedule.

Thank you for your attention and support.

Thanks and Regards,

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation
