As you may already aware, YM’s Chartered in vessel MV. Songa Iridium encountered main engine fire incident and loss power then contacted shore near Istanbul, Turkey. The Coastal Safety of Istanbul dispatched 4 tugs to tow Songa Iridium to the anchorage of Istanbul. Thereafter the Coastal Safety requests the Salvage remuneration by the proportion of value of the salvage property (i.e. Ship, cargo, containers, and bunker value).
Please be advised that Salvage remuneration is not determined yet and under negotiation.
