It is an honor to announce that the Directorate General of Customs, Ministry of Finance, ROC (Taiwan), has approved Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (including its Keelung, Taichung and Kaohsiung Branches) as the nation's first shipping company to receive AEO certificate. AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator. The certificate numbers are TWAEO-101000032 for Yang Ming,TWAEO-101000033 for its Keelung Branch, TWAEO-101000034 for its Taichung Branch and TWAEO-101000035 for its Kaohsiung Branch. Winning the AEO award means YM , as a shipping company , can be one of qualified partner of Customs and be able to take care of security in the supply chain of shipping service . Our efforts include increasing operational security with regard to vessels , terminals container yards and related facilities.

Thereafter, we will consistently communicate with our business partners for co-operation on the security issues and make risk evaluation annually. We will strengthen our IT security. In order to meet the requirements of the AEO program, we will develop and maintain a complete and detailed security plan and act accordingly to reduce the risk of crew, cargo, as well as vessels.

Our subsidiary Kao Ming Container Terminal, which is Taiwan's first terminal warehouse operator, and our subsidiaries in Europe have also been awarded AEO certification since 2010. Please refer to the certifications below.
